This week we go deeper into the fruit itself, looking at three qualities that tend to be the most difficult to develop and the most transformative when they do: patience, kindness, and goodness.

These aren't just nice character traits. They are the character of Jesus — and an invitation to live the way He lived.

An apple tree doesn't strain to make apples. It just stays healthy, stays rooted, stays connected — and fruit happens.

That's the picture behind one of the most familiar passages in the New Testament. Galatians 5:22–23 lists the fruit of the Spirit — love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. But before we rush to the list, it helps to understand what fruit actually is.

There's a phrase Paul uses at the very opening of 1 Corinthians 12 that sets the tone for everything that follows: "I do not want you to be unaware." Depending on your translation, it might read uninformed, ignorant, or misunderstanding this. But the intent is the same — Paul wanted the church to understand the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Not fear them, not ignore them, not misuse them. Understand them.

That's still the invitation for us today.

Most of us learned about the Holy Spirit as a doctrine before we ever learned about Him as a person. He got filed somewhere between a theology textbook and a Sunday school answer — the third member of the Trinity, present at creation, active at Pentecost.

But what if the Holy Spirit isn't just a concept to understand? What if He's someone to know?

When Jesus ascended to the Father, He didn't leave the church empty-handed.

Ephesians 4:11–12 tells us that before He went, He gave gifts to His church — not programs, not systems, not an organizational chart. He gave people. Specifically, He gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers — what many call the fivefold ministry gifts. And He gave them for one purpose: to fully equip the saints to do the work of ministry and build up the body of Christ.

If you want to understand what it means to follow Jesus, you have to start with who He actually is and what He actually did.

The fullness of God's complete nature and attributes — everything God is — dwelt in Jesus. Not a portion of it. Not a reflection of it. All of it.

When our lives are marked by humility and genuine service through our gifts — that's when the body of Christ looks like what Jesus intended it to look like.

There is a truth so foundational, so life-altering, that everything else in your Christian walk flows from it: you are deeply, completely, and unconditionally loved by your Father.

Not because of what you've done. Not because of how well you've performed. Simply because of who He is.

When we receive Jesus, we are adopted into God's family — and He becomes our Father. That's not a metaphor. That's the reality of what salvation means.

The question for us is this:

Are we willing for the next generation to go further than we did?

Our ceiling is meant to become their floor.

What defines who you are?

It’s a question that feels more complicated than ever. We live in a world constantly asking us to choose, build, and refine our identity—what we believe, what we like, who we align with. From the teams we cheer for to the brands we wear, identity has become something we construct.

And because of that, we’re seeing something real:

There is an identity crisis—not just in the world, but even within the Church.

From the very beginning, God’s intention for humanity was clear: “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it…”

This wasn’t just about physical growth—it was about influence, impact, and stewardship. To multiply means to increase—in number, in reach, in power, and in influence.

What if the very thing you’ve been asking God to remove… is actually the place He wants to reveal His strength the most?

There is a kind of joy that can’t be manufactured or forced. It doesn’t come from comfort or convenience—it comes from living on mission with Jesus.

A missional life isn’t reserved for a select few. It’s the invitation extended to every believer. And at its core, it’s about allowing our faith to move beyond words and into action.

Resurrection Sunday is more than a moment we remember—it’s a reality we live in.

The empty tomb didn’t just prove that Jesus rose from the dead. It revealed a power unlike anything the world has ever seen—a power that didn’t stay in the grave, and didn’t stay in the past. Scripture tells us that same Spirit now lives in us.

Jesus did not die so we could live half-free lives.
He died so we could live as sons and daughters, walking in truth, authority, and purpose.

Freedom begins when we receive salvation.
Freedom continues as we allow God to transform us.
Freedom grows as we believe who He says we are.

And the more we know the truth,
the more we walk in the freedom He has already given.

When we live inside of faith, we live in confidence, peace, and expectation. We trust that God is working even when we cannot see it. We trust that His promises are true even when the outcome is not yet visible. And we trust that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.

Understanding the grace of God is not just a theological idea. It is something that completely transforms the way we live, think, and relate to Him. When we truly understand grace, everything changes.

Jesus prayed that we would become one just as He and the Father are one.

This unity reflects the Father to the world.
It releases supernatural life in the body of Christ.
It allows diversity without division.
And it prepares the Church to accomplish the mission of God.

When the Church walks in unity, the world sees Jesus more clearly.

And many who once stood outside will be drawn into the family of God.
