TRANSFORMATIONS | Teacher: Ted Gibbons

January 8, 21, 28 & February 4

Transformations is a study of God’s power to bring life where there once was death. Through Scripture and testimony, we will explore how God takes what is broken, lost, or hopeless and makes it new—transforming our hearts, minds, and circumstances through His Spirit.

Key Verse:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17

Description:
Every believer carries areas of life that long for God’s transforming touch—confusion about identity, habits of the old nature, emotional or physical wounds, or the heartache and fear of watching a loved one stray. In this class—ideal for anyone hungry for deeper freedom, whether new to faith or a longtime follower—we explore how God moves us from death to life, bondage to freedom, and despair to hope. Each session spotlights a distinct dimension of transformation—identity, character, healing, and faithful companionship—powered by the Holy Spirit who transforms us from glory to glory as we fix our eyes on Jesus. God doesn’t merely improve us; He makes us new. By the end, you’ll walk away with practical tools and biblical confidence to partner with the Holy Spirit as He renews both your life and the lives of others.

There are loads of scriptures in the Bible that gives us answers to these topics.  So if you are curious about what you see during worship here at Christ Community Church or have some unanswered questions, this is a great class to attend to find out those answers and see where worship really begins!

LIVING IN COMMUNITY | Teacher: Sierra Wilston

April 8, 15

"Living in Community" is more than just a concept—it's entirely doable. Community functions like a small village: everyone participates, cares for one another, shows up, and supports each other. While involvement may look different depending on life seasons, true community is centered around people—showing up for others, and allowing others to show up for you.

In this 2-week class, Sierra will unpack what it means to live in authentic Christian community—not just friendship, but a deeper, more intentional way of doing life together. Community is a huge part of Sierra’s daily life, and she will share what God has taught her and her husband Luke about being part of a village… and being a good villager.

She will also explore how to cultivate a culture of respect through disagreement and conflict, how to make space for everyone to shine, and how to help ensure every person is truly seen.
